The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a frost advisory for Northwest Montgomery County, including Germantown and Damascus, from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18. Temperatures may drop as low as 33 degrees, which could cause frost to form.
Residents in Germantown, Damascus, and other parts of the county should take precautions to protect sensitive outdoor plants. Uncovered plants could be harmed or even killed by the cold.
The advisory covers areas in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Montgomery County residents should prepare for early morning frost and ensure that outdoor vegetation is properly covered.
